First, have you changed anything else on the treatment, anything at all? Have you eaten anything that is not on the strict diet? If the answer is ‘no’ to these questions, then … yes, of course it’s a good thing. Beneficial bacteria cause the Candida to die, this naturally equals die-off symptoms. Probiotics cause bd die-off for most people, but not everyone it seems.

Go back to one capsule a day for three days.
The next day take two capsules, and then go back to one for two days.
The next day start rotating between 1 and 2 capsules a day for about three weeks, then go to two capsules a day and let me know the results after a few days.

Hey thanks able! I was not sure if probiotics could cause die off. My headache has eased up but the feeling is still there , but I noticed something, I’m no longer as depressed! I feel good and have a little more energy then usual (not so foggy), and the feeling is starting to feel good…its strange, its like irritating but nice at the same time. I guess its like when you have been carrying stuff all day, and your back hurts, and then you stretch it, it hurts but its a good pain, it feels good and bad at the same time, that’s the best way to explain it I think (I hope that makes sense).

At night, the feeling breaks up and I get a little euphoria (weird). I’m going to keep taking this as I have not felt this good in a while and I’m not changing nothing lol. But to answer your question, no I have not changed my eating habits or ate anything off the strict diet.

Is it possible that maybe its both PTSD and candida? I personally believe I have candida and other things complicating my symptoms, I think this can also be the case with other people as well, but obviously if you have both, giving up on one to treat the other will not make you any better. If you are responding to the candida protocol dont give up! but I’m unfamiliar with your situation, but if you think there is stock in what the doctor said maybe you should pursue it but I would not give up on the candida treatment in favor of that, you can do both, maybe thats the answer for you?

Just one lick of it and I started having crazy dizziness, head pressure, and felt like I was on a drug. Then I some thouroughly boiled brocolli and it made me really bad too. Then just this morning I tried olive oil and it was just a bad as the coconut oil. I don’t know what to do, I need to eat and I need to change my diet but every single things I try sends me over the edge. This has only been for the past couple of months that it has gotten this bad.

Just so you know, I have really bad die off symptoms also. In fact, I have read a lot of stories on here and I feel my symptoms are worse then everyone else’s, the only way I can handle the dieoff is to take oxy-codone (which I also take for leg pain because I have to exercise 3 times a day to help with my anxiety)

I don’t know how the rest of your health is and if you could take something like this but you may want to consider it. The more you feed the candida, the stronger its going to get, you should not take any antifungals until you are on a correct diet as taking antifungals while eating incorrectly will make it even stronger, coconut oil is a powerful anti-fungal. I really think your going to need to take a pain killer in order to help you with the pain and help you to deal with eating a correct candida diet, if you decide to pursue this, please tell me so I can give you some pointers about what to take and not to, You should always listen to your doctor of course but I have some experience with these things that may save you some nightmares.

have you ever tried eating raw kale? kale is highly anti inflammatory, this may help a little? because its highly anti-inflammatory you might be able to swallow that easier if that’s the problem.

Just read this in an article, is this true?? I hope not.

Oh no!! I hope it’s not true 🙁 That site looks a little sketchy, so maybe it’s not.

yea, that site looks like the biggest load of garbage ever, I mean doctors millers holy tea? I would not put to much stock in it.

I’m going to answer your question on medical and what seems like finance help. She could try to apply for social security, but most of this stuff is a joke. Surprisingly, calling your congressmen and writing to them can help things. I know people who where turned down for things and wrote and got help. So you never know. But yea, the medical system is messed up. I cant get any support from the government. I cant leave the house but yet they say I’m not disabled, very confusing to me. But try having her petition her congressmen. If you have lots of friends on facebook, or if she has lots of friends on facebook. Maybe you guys could setup a page on her behalf and tell her story, have people write to the congressmen for her. Maybe contact a paper? You have to get really creative.

Anyway I hope this helped. And as for the candida, she’s just going to have to kill that again. I have been battling it for a while because of bad advice from doctors, so I know where your coming from. I’m young (in my 20’s) and was on my way to be coming an musician, Now I cant do anything, it sucks badly.

    raster;31524 wrote: Hello train,

It sounds like the majority of your symptoms are liver symptoms (the emotional ones you mentioned). A really healthy person will experience no die-off whereas a person who has slightly damaged liver will experience tons of die-off. I would try out some liver supplements for awhile; there is one I recommend called super milk thistle x which cleanses the liver. A naturopath of course would be able to fine tune this recommendation and hopefully heal it better and faster of course.

I take 1000mg of L-glutamine per meal. I vary it between 2 and 3 meals per day. It’s a rather safe supplement and you cannot take too little or too much from my experience.

The die-off stage is the most difficult and once you get over it, it should be a lot easier in general.

Some people who experience this perpetual die-off have other issues not related to candida. A few examples include SIBO (small intestine bacteria overgrowth), h.pylori, thyroid, or liver issues. All of these are very similar in their symptoms but different in diagnosis. Just wanted to share the possibilities…

    -raster

I have been taking a liver/kidney cleaner for like a year. It has

    Vit C: 25mg
    Vit b6 10mg
    Vit b12 10mcg
    magnesium 35mg

    choline 300mg,
    buchu leaf 300mg
    dandelion root 300mg
    l-methionine 300mg
    uva ursi leaf 300mg

    artichoke leaf 200mg
    burdock root 200mg
    milk thistle 125mg
    blackradish root 100mg
    curcmin c3 complex 100mg
    inositol 100mg

I take this 2 times a day along with bay berry. I have taken lots of vit C and will eat tons of raw food and notice no difference in how I feel. I don’t know if taking more liver cleanses will help or not.

raster;31508 wrote: I would consider trying out acupuncture. I would also try to heal your liver and kidneys if possible and maybe take a break for a period of time on the antifungals.

A great way to completely reduce die-off symptoms is to sweat out the toxins via the bodies largest organ, the skin. It sounds like you need to detox your body which you haven’t done yet. This is one of the keys of Dr. Mcoombs plan and you can do it up to 6 days per week.

I would also consider consulting a naturopath who can help reduce this ‘pain’.

Can you describe your pain symptoms in greater detail? I haven’t ever heard of anyone describing it in this way.

    -raster

Pain as in severe trauma, I feel like I’m going to die, I feel like I want to scream, don’t even feel like I exist anymore, my emotions are kind of numb, I feel the urge to peel at my skin and rip it off because there’s this feeling of bugs crawling under it. as for the diet, I’m on a modified version of the strict diet (isn’t everyone?), and what I mean by modified is I eat more chicken then it says to because I’m so thin that if I did not I would waste away. Otherwise I follow it fine. I guess I wont try anti-fungals for a while. But there’s got to be a better way to kill this thing.

I mean I was wondering, LSD grows on fungus, Also grows on a certain kind of moldy bread. Mushrooms are psychedelic and are fungus. I wonder if the fungus that we have can possible produce psychedelic like chemicals that cause a lot of the mood swings and strange feelings people sometimes get. Maybe that sounds crazy, I dont know much about this but I was just wondering if there could be any weight to that idea?

Also, again, there’s got to be a better way to kill this thing without as many side-effects. It does not matter if it takes forever, but there’s got to be a way to do that.

also raster, this is to you personally, I wanted to try to start taking L-glutamine for leaky gut, how much should I take and is that something that is good for me to take right now?

I joined a week or two ago, and I’m kind of all over the place at the moment. One minute I feel ok, and generally happy, and the next I’m completely overwhelmed. It’s different to how it used to be before I started the diet, then I just wanted to cry all the time and felt miserable. Now I don’t feel unhappy, but do feel completely unable to cope.

    Hal123

The only thing that helps me when I feel this was is exercise, and I don’t mean walking. I laugh when people say the take a 15min walk and feel better, I just don’t understand that at all, My symptoms are so bad I have to exercise on a bike for 30min a day 3-4 times a day just to keep myself from going mad. The thing is you need to be careful with how much you exercise, I have to do it because I’m so screwed up, but if you don’t have to yet, don’t go overboard on it, ask someone here who is smarter then me about exercising and adrenal fatigue and what to watch out for. You dont want your exercise to stop your body from healing.

However, I feel your pain,, and I just felt like telling you that if you feel really really bad, you may want to try some harder exercise, not just walking, and see how that works out for you, as it makes me feel a ton better, just don’t over do it though. Also, I noticed I need to exercise until I hit a sweet spot, which takes me 30min to 37 min to reach. If I only do it for 20min, it makes me feel worse, so keep that in mind, you may meed to experiment to find how much exercise you need to feel better.

I bought the Helios Organic Kefir, it says it has 12grams of sugar a cup. This does not sound right to me, how much of this are we allowed to have? I mean if I only have 1/4 of a cup it would only be 3g of sugars but I doubt having that little amount of keifer a day would have much of helpful affect.

Here’s another post to check out:

    http://www.thecandidadiet.com/forum/yaf_postst3012_Possible-alternative-to-molybdenum–Juniper-Berry-Extract.aspx

A naturopath likely would tell you to stop for a period of time while they give you liver cleansing supplements (for a few weeks) before they get you back on the program again…

Another supplement I would check out is candidate by native remedies.

Able also would recommend that you increase your dose of molybdenum to 750mg for a few days before reducing it again.

Sometimes the liver combo supplements can stur up the liver so I would try stopping that for a day or so and see if you notice any difference. Some of them may be antifungal as well.

Another way to gain immediate relief is to do acupuncture which will help the body expel the toxins while healing specific organs. This is one of the cornerstones of my treatment.

    -raster

I did stop for a few weeks, I did not feel much better, I drink lots of water and take lots of vit C.

This is one of my main questions that I believe will help me better understand whats going on with me. I was wondering if any of you ever experienced something like this. I always feel ok in the mornings, once It gets to around 12:30pm, I start to feel a little bad, by 3:00pm I feel really bad. 6:00 to 10:00pm is the worst for me, then I will start to feel better after that. Its like clockwork, is this normal for candia? It does not matter what I do, it always follows this pattern.

That is the result of adrenal fatigue. That is more or less the pattern commonly found when the adrenals are malfunctioning.

    Jorge.

I looked it up, I dont see how that could be adrenal fatigue, could you please elaborate?

I had really bad die-off the first few weeks I was on the diet and it continued for me for about a month. I didn’t take anything to support my liver and ever since I’ve been healing it.

    -raster

I am taking the molybdenum, 3 a day. I take a liver support that has milk thistle, I take a Epsom Salt bath everyday as soon as I get up, and I exercise to sweat out toxins and help my liver process them, 3 times a day 30min each every day. It does not matter, it will not help. When I feel bad, I can exercise, and take baths, I can drink lots of water, I can take more liver support, it does not matter, it does not help.
