    Thank you Able!

You have taught us so much! I’ll definitely help if I can, but I’m only repeating what you tell us!;)

    Flipper

I haven’t seen anyone say you can’t take anything for headaches, but I might have missed it. I can tell you that at its worst I had to take something for my migraines. The Ashwaganda seemed to help with my neck stiffness and pain, but I had to break out the Immitrex a few times for my migraines.

It took several days for it to really get better, so hang in there!

    Hi Flipper!

I’m so sorry for your pain! I’ve definitely been where you are! It took some time before I found this forum, and I too took far too many antigungals in the beginning and experience horrible die off for several weeks. The good news is you can get through this!

Able usually suggests that you increase your Moly B to 750mg/day and would probably recommend you get an herb called Ashwaganda to help with your anxiety! It has been an incredible help to me! I also take Milk Thistle to help with my liver. Able would also tell you to make sure you are drinking more water than ever before to flush out the toxins and don’t get constipated (that’s almost impossible for me, however)!

I hope this helps! I’m sure others will respond with more direction! Good luck and don’t give up!

    Hi Smiles!

I’m having the same problem you are having. I’m about 2 months into the protocol and aside from occasional die off, the majority of my symptoms have improved tremendously, but my stomach is in constant turmoil! I had a lot of symptoms, so even though the issue with my stomach is huge, I still feel much better.

I constantly have a distended belly (I look and feel 6 months pregnant). It is hard to breath because my stomach gets so distended and I’m always fighting severe constipation. I’m taking all of the supplements suggested on the protocol in addition to the following for my gut: Betaine HCL, Slippery Elm, Bentonite Clay, Glutamine, a huge dose of mag ox, a cup of Aloe Vera Juice 3 times a day now, and I drink coconut oil and olive oil several times a day. I drink warm water in the morning, and after I take the Slippery Elm (4 times/day), and gobs and gobs of water throughout the day!

    I’m miserable!!!!!

I’m sorry I don’t have the answer, but from what I’ve been reading it might take months for this to improve. Maybe someone will see this and have some suggestions for us!

    Good luck!

The boys probiotic is Nature’s Way brand. But from the advice you gave me I’m not sure it’s good because there isn’t any DDS-1 in it. These are chewables because my 4 yr old cannot swallow pills yet. I noticed you mentioned a liquid probiotic…do you have a suggestion that is kid friendly?

Also, Able thank you for clarifying about the Aqua Flora. I misread your post and thought you said Candida instead of Candidate! I wasn’t using it for the exact reason you mentioned and I will not give it to the kids either now. Thank you again! I will put Candidate on my list.

Thank you so much for the continued advice! I cannot express to you how much you have helped me with all of your posts. Your encouragement and advice has made me want to learn as much as I possibly can to heal my entire family! I’m already feeling better than I have in 25 yrs, and I have miles to go. I cannot fathom where I’ll end up! Just to think 8 short weeks ago I stayed in bed 23 hours a day and have for the last two years and today I took all of my kids swimming, by myself, and swam with my 4 yr old! I haven’t even turned on my spinal cord stimulators in 8 weeks!

Thank you everyone, but Able especially you for helping me figure all of this out! I’m getting my life back one day at a time!

Will the coconut bread and crackers qualify as appropriate carbs for this purpose? Do you have any other suggestions that are legal for this diet?

Thank you all so much! It seems I’m on the right track, but I will get their probiotics out tonight and run those by you guys so you can tell me if it’s a good brand. They have been on probiotics for a year and they take omegas and drink as much Lifeway Kefir as I can afford!:). I also have the bitters now so I put 1 drop on their toungue before meals. And I have been giving them Lily of the Desert whole Leaf Aloe Vera Juice daily for about 2 yrs.

Also, my doctor gave me samples of Aqua Flora Candida and I haven’t tried it so thank you, I will start the boys on it tonight!

They eat only organic eggs and I only buy organic everything. Chicken a couple of times a week and organic turkey. They rarely eat sweets, but they eat tons of fruit, cheese, and yogurt. This is my biggest problem!

Also, Able I know you have said no to nuts, and I’m much better now that I’m not eating them, but my boys love them. They are raw and organic, so do you think they would be ok if I soak them in water first? I’m looking for snacks and protein sources. I use hemp seeds in as much as I can, and I make smoothies with coconut milk and hemp milk and kefir.

Do you think if I made kefir Popsicles (Lifeway kefir, blueberries, and ground nuts or hemp seeds)…that would be an ok snack? I’ve made some delicious coconut flour crackers that we all enjoy and I’ve got a pretty good version of the coconut bread going, but snacks are the hardest for me because I always ate fruit for snacks and that’s what my boys eat. They are fine with blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, and granny smith apples (dehydrated)… Is this ok?

Also, do you think they could eat beans? If so, what kind are the safest?

    Thank you so much everyone!

How do you resolve the metabolism problem while on this diet? I have gained weight steadily over the last two months and I’m eating completely clean with no cheats (unless it was a mistake in the beginning)! Everyone else I know that’s doing this is losing and I’m gaining and 95% of what I’ve been eating the last 8 weeks is raw veggies and lettuce. I have 1/2-1 avacodoes a day and eggs and egg plant for protein.

    What can I do?

    Thanks,
    Hil

Lilly of the Desert is a good brand. Just make sure you get the whole leaf!

    Thanks Able!

I have actually ordered the bitters with no alcohol and it should be in this week. It has taken me some time to read through as many old posts as I can to try and learn as much as I can about all of this. I am still fitting all of the pieces together, but I’m getting there. I’ll stop that enzyme today!

I have truly tried everything that I know and that I’ve seen so far, but as I said its taking time to research all of the old topics on the forum and I’m trying to get all of questions answered!:) constipation has been an issue my entire life so I’ve tried many many things. My parents are pharmacists, but also naturalists, so they research as many herbs and minerals and such as they can and try to help me here and there. I’ve tried all of the home remedies and every drug on the market! I’m currently taking magnesium oxide and sometimes I have to drink the magnesium citrate as well (I know this is bad for my gut, but my colon literally has shut down…I can easily go 10 days with no BM). So I take the mag oxide and do enemas daily so I don’t get constipated. I also drink a 1/4 cup of coconut oil, a few T of olive oil, a 1/2 cup of aloe Vera juice, and as much water as I can get down, everyday!

Thanks again for any and all advice!
