I am doing the hard method of Stage 1 and I am not sure when I can quit. It says 3-7 days. What should I be feeling in order for me to know when to quit.
Also I am getting a yeast infection I think? Is that normal in stage 1?May 16, 2012 at 2:56 pm #82031

Are you referring to the forum or websites stage one?
Most people on the forum follow the following stages:
stage 0 – cleanse (we have a forum cleanse and dont recommend the psyllium)
stage 1 – long term diet (we have a strict version of the websites diet on the forum)
stage 2 – when you get better again and can handle fruits, molds, etc.
stage 3 – basically a healthy diet that has some basics from the candida diet.
Candida is a yeast, so if you think you have a candida problem, you have a yeast problem as well. Candida occurs in two forms, the fungal pathogenic form, and the yeast form (which is healthy).

I have been diagnosed with Candida. Can you direct me to the link you are referring too. Thanks. What should I take instead of psyllium and benotonite? How long is stage 0?May 16, 2012 at 3:56 pm #82041

Check out these two posts:
You can quit the cleanse whenever you want, the psyllium causes constipation. The clay is OK, chia seeds are a good alternative.
Here’s the cleanse I mentioned:

Thank you Raster. I was not able locate the ok foods during detox. Are the same foods as the ones on the website? My Dr wanted me to take Kolorex with probiotic? What are your thoughts on that? Thank you for your time.May 16, 2012 at 8:39 pm #82076
Horopito is described as having the ability to aid the body in replenishing the microflora in the intestines and, at the same time it’s described as (quote), “Nature’s Ancient Anti-Fungal Herb.” If it’s a natural antifungal as the descriptions says, then taking it with the probiotics will only result in destroying the beneficial bacteria that the probiotic releases. Frankly, to me this makes no sense when considering that your doctor told you to take it with the probiotic.
To explain what Raster was saying: there are two Candida diets on this website. One is the diet that the website has on the main site. The second diet is a much stricter, private diet which used to be on the forum but is no longer posted here.
The vegetables on this diet can be used during the cleanse.
If you would like to have the stricter diet simply describe your symptoms, how long you’ve had the infestation, and whether or not you’ve been on a Candida diet in the past. If you still want to use the stricter diet instead of the one on the website, you’ll need to familiarize yourself with the Protocol on the forum as the two go hand in hand and therefore should be used together.

That doesn’t make sense does it? I wonder why he told me to take that. I make sure and ask him. I have searched the forum so you wouldn’t have to reply the same thing over and over again but I didn’t find much on that. Also I am still not finding a food list. When I click on the link it doesn’t have the list of foods. I have read and reread the links both of you have given me and I can’t find exactly what to eat. Last night I got he chia seeds and decided to eat some lettuce and cucumbers with garlic and olive oil. I feel terrible today. I also ordered the Molybdenum Amino Acid Chelate and bought some Milk Thistle and took one this morning.
My symptoms are a VERY DEEP DOWN TIRED for over a year. I have had yeast infections all growing up. For some reason not since having kids as much. I had rotten tonsils all my childhood and I didn’t get them out till I was 20 so lots of antibiotics. I had Pneumonia last year and ever since my hands and feet are very swollen and arthritic to point it is hard to walk on them. I have night reflux. I have always had a bad memory but it is getting very bad and I am only 35. My vision is blurry and I am not seeing well especially as the day goes on. Depression and moods are a problem. I have been to every kind of Dr there is even a cardiologist, and they all can’t figure it out or tell me something I know is not right but I try what they say with nothing. I decided to go to a naturalistic Dr and this what he thinks it is and I am so desperate I am willing to try anything so this is next on the list. I have never heard of Candida so I feel like I am taking a class of learning to figure this out and since my brain doesn’t seem to be working right I am having a hard time. THANKS SOOO much for all your help.May 17, 2012 at 7:53 am #82104

If it only has antifungal properties, and not antibacterial ones, then the probiotics shouldn’t be affected. I guess this is why nystatin and other anti-fungal drugs don’t act as antibiotics.May 17, 2012 at 1:25 pm #82148

Jav, I wasn’t claiming that Horopito contains antibiotic properties because I’m aware that it’s not an antibiotic but rather an antifungal. But most of us know that the two shouldn’t be taken within the same timeframe. Even this website, with its sometimes-limited-information shows awareness of that by stating that you should take your antifungals and probiotics as far apart as possible; and not ‘with’ the probiotic as her doctor prescribed. That was my point.

Right. That was my point.
Also I am still not finding a food list.
That’s because I haven’t sent it to you yet. I was waiting for your post above with your symptoms, previous diet, etc.
I’m going to send the link to the diet to you along with a few instructions; I’ll send this via a Private Message which will be in your ‘inbox’ on the forum. You’ll need to become familiar with the Protocol because the strict diet and protocol must be used together in order to be effective.
Let us know if you have questions after reading the stricter diet.
