I’ve yet to come across a medical practitioner who either a) has heard of candida or b) believes in it. This is alternative or standard doctors.

There’s a lot of names for alternative doctors floating about so which one should I look into if I want to see one?

    Nutritionist, naturopath, homeopath etc. etc.?

And if anyone is in the north of the UK – do you know of a good person to see?

    Hope you’re all doing well.

Go to a naturopathic doctor; I highly recommend it. They will prescribe you healthier versions of many of the supplements mentioned here on the forums (from trusted brands, cellulose free, etc) and you will get healthier in weeks vs. months. Naturopaths prescribe some homeopathic remedies which will get your body to naturally bring itself back to normal.

Nutritionist just tell you what to eat if your diet is already poor. I think you have a good idea what to eat with the candida diet at this point.

    Jasmine,

    Boy…lots of spam today!

I haven’t heard of the term homeopath’s as a type of doctor. Naturopath’s (naturopathic doctors) can prescribe supplements both homeopathic or just regular vitamins. Some of them practice acupuncture as well.

The main difference between a naturopathic doctor and a regular western doctor is that the naturopathic doctor will never prescribe you medication from pharmacies. They will do their best to heal the cause of the problem(holistic healing) instead of giving you something for the symptoms.

Naturopathic doctor’s come out like colors of the rainbow, so finding a good one can be difficult. Each one has their own remedies and treatment plans; if you are interested in finding one, I would find one that has treated candida many many times.

A naturopathic doctor incorporates a variety of natural medicines as well as treatments which include homeopathy in the attempt to heal an illness. It’s a system which uses therapeutics based on nature and is founded on the belief that we are all naturally healthy, and that healing can occur through removing obstacles which may prevent a cure and by stimulating our own natural healing abilities.

Homeopathy is more limited; it’s the practice in which the very substance which is believed to have produced a particular illness is given to the ill person. These substances which originally caused the illness are supposed to stimulate the body’s own healing processes and eventually heal the person of the illness.

If you have health insurance, you can go to your provider’s website and search for naturopathic doctor’s that are in your network. I have no idea how health insurance works outside of the US; hope this helps.

As I stated in the previous post, homeopathy is more limited than most other types of practice, so if the specialist sticks to homeopathic medicine as one would expect, then he believes in utilizing the basic idea of homeopathy which is: “like cures like.” And for a cure he’s probably going to use a substance which will mimic the Candida hoping to eventually bring about a cure.

I have two problems with homeopathic medicine; one, it normally causes the symptoms of the given disease to grow worse before starting gradually to get better (if indeed they do get better), and two, it takes much, much too long as far as waiting for a cure.

Of course, I suppose there’s always the chance that you could find one that will incorporate such ideas as we discuss on the forum.

Personally, I believe a Candida infestation can be healed just as quickly and much less costly simply by being aware of two things; what will feed the Candida and what will destroy them. It’s so simple when you look at it that way, that is of course, if you follow through with what you learn.

i agree with what you say…there are a lot of people here who tell you seeing a Naturopathic doctor will speed up the process and i would love to meet one. I’m just failing at finding one here in Stockholm. i’m really good at googling, i’m assuming they don’t really use the same terms or sth.
who do u think i should ask ?? maybe health stores that sell supplements ??? i’m running out of ideas…

Try using the word osteopathy instead of homeopathy or naturopathy. This is a type of drug-free and non-invasive medicine which also focuses on total body health.

Here’s an example of a link I found, the center is located in Stockholm.

i see…so even if i get to meet a professional…they won’t have the same approach as our diet here?? there is no chance to think that i may be able to meet someone close to a naturopath who controls the supplements i take and so on ??

i just really want to have someone control my diet and supplements..and my improvement instead of adding another treatment to it

I don’t know, Jasmine, Raster is always talking about how different naturopaths can be. To me, this means you may have to go through several before you find one like you want; unless you’re really lucky and find one with your first choice.
Most people just stick with the forum and get better; it’s all about knowing what feeds the Candida and what will destroy them. You don’t have to be a naturopath or any other type of doctor to discover that.

The way I look at it; your body is like a 12 piece orchestra. Some of the various parts of the orchestra play in unison, but if there is one slip up by the conductor, then the whole symphony can fail or sound bad. But if you control the different parts of the sympthony in the proper way, there will be great music (health)!

You could be taking very good supplements to fight candida, but not everything will work as well as possible unless you address the organs that need help!

you mean it is good to meet different doctors who treat other things or have different approaches ?
