How important is it to drink filtered water? Have those of you who have been seeing significant improvements been drinking it? I’m considering getting a filter but I’m already spending so much money…April 18, 2012 at 2:47 pm #79363

It is important to filter your water. For instance, lead could be something that exists in your water that can set you back. Chlorine in some municipalities is also a problem. Luckily for me, the water found in the PNW is some of the cleanest in the world so I just have to worry about the iron pipes in our household.
It is expensive though; a long term high priced item would be to get a water filtration unit for your home that might reduce costs in the long term.

Instead of buying a costly filter, I buy gallons of Distilled water. They’re $.99 at my local store, I’m sure you can find something similar. I also like to change it up with seltzer water every now and then (also the same price, but only 1L).April 19, 2012 at 6:03 am #79400

I buy relatively inexpensive mineral water (£2.50 for 16 litres). It might not be as affordable if you wanted your whole family to drink it though.
