How did you feel after you tried it, how many times did you try it / what frequency, and how many different donors?

Since probiotics don’t really colonize the gut much(if at all) they only provide temporary benefits. Plus the fact that there are 700 diverse species or more of bacteria in the colon renders the few strains in probiotics of limited help. I’m thinking of doing some FMT enema’s to help repopulate my colon. I have done probably over 15-20 courses of antibiotics in my life so I’m hoping this will help!

FMT is the only way to replenish your gut with human origin bacterial species. It is a promising procedure that may bring cure to many chronic intestinal disease.

However, an intestinal yeast overgrowth can not be abated with this procedure. The problem is beneficial bacteria don’t implant when candida dominates the gut. It may be a very good path to follow after eliminating the fungus with a proper treatment. IMO, lactic acid bacteria growth fast and easy when the pathogens are eliminated.

I did more than 15 retention enemas using my daughter feces and never could eliminate the candidiasis. There are videos, websites, and many links explaining how to do it at home. It is nothing complicated but doing an enema with solution saline mixed with somebody else feces.

    Abstract
The concept of fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) has been used in traditional Chinese medicine at least since the 4(th) century. Evidence from recent human studies strongly supports the link between intestinal bacteria and inflammatory bowel disease. We proposed that standardized FMT might be a promising rescue therapy for refractory inflammatory bowel disease. However, there were no reports of FMT used in patients with severe Crohn’s disease (CD). Here, we report the successful treatment of standardized FMT as a rescue therapy for a case of refractory CD complicated with fistula, residual Barium sulfate and formation of intraperitoneal large inflammatory mass. As far as we know, this is the first case of severe CD treated using FMT through mid-gut.

My prob is vaginal odour that came about whilst taking antibiotics. It was there before, but just no-where near as bad. Is it fungal or bacterial? I feel it’s bacterial because it smells… but sometimes I read things on here and online and I get the feeling that it’s also fungal. Plus it also itches.

Or could it be both fungal and bacterial?

Which would you treat first and how? lol

Sorry. I have no idea about it.
