Hi, I have going thru the different areas of the recipes. I have seen Rasters Teff bread recipe. I am trying to locate it. Any help?? Thanks TresSeptember 1, 2012 at 10:24 am #89677
Hi, My friend Miriam found the recipe for me. I made it and the batter was very stiff. It didn’t rise very muche mayb 1.5 inches high and it took less than 30 mins to bake. It’s hard and very dry. It does have a nice flavor and smell to it. I used the 11 eggs, 1 cup of olive oil, 1 cup Teff flour, 1 cup Buckwheat flour, 1/2 cup Coconut flour and 1/3 cup Almond meal, 1.5 teaspoon Himalayn salt and 1.5 teaspoon baking soda. I made this recipe into loaves-should I have made it 1 loaf? I used the recipe post date of Monday May 14, 2012.Any advice? Thanks, TresSeptember 4, 2012 at 10:45 am #89720

First of all, I would stir in the flour after each cup and this can help. Second, I would either try using 1 more egg or a tiny bit of water to liquify it more. I would also consider making one loaf instead of two.
One problem that is possible is that the eggs from my market are larger than the eggs in your market…they vary from dozen to dozen and so sometimes they are smaller or large depending on the week.

I saw a bunch of links in the post that Raster made on the subject, and each had honey/cane sugar and even yeast! That can’t be ok for the diet! Especially phase 1. 2 eggs isn’t keeping my energy levels up through the 10 hour shifts I work. I’m on day 4 of my detox and had to call in sick to work because I was too spacey to function. I suspect I’ll have to cut the meat restriction/detox phase short because I can’t afford to lose my job! I started spraying almonds with grapefruit seed extract today, but I suspect that still won’t be enough.
