If i boil something in the water, let’s say it’s millet and it has xx grams of carbohydrates per 100g, it’ll have a lot less of them after the cooking? i checked on the internet and they said like from 70g to 30g… if all water is absorbed during cooking carbohydrates stay in the millet? if some water is left at the end and i put it out, carbohydrates will go with water?

About heating something up; carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, enzymes, which ones can resist the temperature so it doesn’t destroy them? And if temperature destroys a protein molecule, for example, and i eat it with other useful protein molecules, the destroyed protein molecule is considered as something my body wants to get rid of and it has to process it and i’m torchering my body?

If i eat something with chewing it’ll be digested slower than if i mix something and drink it right? how much time does carbohydrates need and proteins need and vegetables and fruits need to be digested? I was told i should not mix carbohydrates and proteins because acid and base then neutralize into salt+water in your stomach, so i have to separate those and some of the others, so food i eat will be digested properly.

Is there any kind of nutrition intake calculator or can anyone tell me how i can calculate my need of carbohydrate, proteins, etc.

please tell me where you got those information, so i’ll know the source. thx in advance 🙂

Here’s a good website to checkout your foods:

    http://nutritiondata.self.com/

    Here are my responses:

First paragraph: There might be a small loss of carbs but I wouldn’t worry about it.
Second paragraph: I wouldn’t worry about this too much; cooking can aid digestion.
Third: It probably varies depending on what you eat, but in general I wouldn’t be too concerned as long you are following the allowed foods list.

My only concern with juicing is that the digestion process has been done for you thus you don’t release (as many) digestive enzymes. It also concentrates what you eat and thus you could be eating a large amount of natural sugars.

My question for you: Why are you so concerned about carbs and digestion?

i study microbiology and love biology and science. i want to find the best way to treat my body. what i found on the internet, among other people, on the forums is that people always give me their opinions which work for them.

there’s a biochemist on my college that says some things that he proved with his experiments and there’s a chemist on my college that proved it differently (she did it for research and biochemist did it for his own fun). there’s bruce lipton, a scientist, that proved that when a scientist is trying to figure something out, he’s trying to prove something to some of his “science enemies” and make them wrong and it affects the experiment that he’s doing and the results are different for same experiments done by different scientists. well, that’s interesting. a biochemis at my college is a person that is always trying to prove something to people and force them to believe what he believes and a chemist doesn’t care about believing her. (i talked with them and tested it with conversatinally-psychological things that i learned).

what i’ll do in the next month is, i will gather some objectively gathered data and combine it into my way of looking at things. there are people that proved soy isn’t good and there are people that proved it’s actually helping your body, and i know people that ate it and are completely healthy even when they are 70 years old. they didn’t mention in soy experiments what stress people were having during this process.

if you know what neuro-linguistic programming is, then you know that your mind affects your body. My opinion is that food affects your body 10% and mind affects your body 90%, but food affects your mind a lot. i did some experiments on myself because i’m allergic to nuts and we have this anti-allergy pattern in NLP (neuro-linguistic programming). i ate some nuts and got an allergic reaction, then i literally made myself not allergic to nuts and ate them and didn’t get allergic reaction. i concluded that the way you think about food and believe in it, affects your body. i know people that are eating unhealthy food and are very happy in their lifes and don’t have medical issues.

why i’m so concerned about cabohydrate intake and proteins and digestion and everything is because i want my body to get what it needs and understand the digestion and food.

i want to eat healthy food so my mind will work completely good and i’ll train myself to master my thinking and live a peaceful life etc. 🙂

    Hi Metamorph!

I too believe that the mind plays a vital role in our well-being but what I struggle with are tow issues here. One is what is first the hen or the egg?
I feel good then I experience a unhealthy body. Then I want to get free from suffering and notice that it doesn’t work. I get depressed over it. I loose hope. Then I search and find new hope in a treatment. My mind feels better until the treatment doesn’t show results quickly. I start to doubt. Which off course affects the treatment too. Etc. You see here the starter was the body-which messed up a the mind. Then a ping-pong situation arises between mind affecting body and body affecting mind.

The other is a person who has a healthy body but is always depressed about his life or in struggle with life in general. After a while that persons body reacts and if that person then gets help for his mind his body reactions disappear often after a while too.

The problem in all of that is that a suffering being often doesn’t have the strength to think that its his fault. Lets say a person has a cancer and is suffering greatly. Us telling the person that all is sitting in his mind will not help him much but putting more strain on him because now he feels guilty wondering if he brought it up on himself and struggles not thinking negative. What I mean with it is that. Try not to think. You will notice it doesnt work. Sit down and say to yourself that I can think about anything but not white polar bears. You know what. All you start thinking about is white polar bears. If you then know that thinking about white polar bears makes you sick too and if you want to get healed you better learn not to think about white polar bears, the pressure on you multiplies greatly making your body even more sick.

Have you found a way out of that catch 22 situation?

    cheers
    Thomas

i decided that i care too much about food and i was eating healthy food but things went wrong anyways.. and my gf stopped mixing carbohydrates and proteins… only this thing and believed in it and her pms went away and menstrual pain went away.. only one thing worked 100 times more for her than 20 things worked for me because she believed in something (placebo effect).

when i was talking with girls today at school (i don’t have guys as classmates, ok 5 of them out of 55 🙂 ), i found out that everything they talk with me about is food. what i really want is not a complicated diet that will give me health.. i only want to eat healthy not-processed food and stop caring about if i am doing everything the right way. i was sitting on a chair, reading a book about nutrinional aspects of food processing and ingredients (scientific book) and i said to myself: what the fuck man, what have you become… a maniac that is so nervous about food that the food is harmful to him. i’ll concentrate on fun in my life and i’m starting with laughter. i’ll laugh at least one hour a day. i’ll laught the f*** out of me.

i was reading a book on my kindle about pick-up (seduction community) and there was a part of the life described of one of the best pick-up artists (seduction masters/teachers) and i noticed what they were doing… they actually don’t eat healthy food and they’re healthier as people that are nervous about food all the time because they have sex and they have fun 24/7.

i’ll just eat healthy food and more important, i’ll be concentrated on fun and get out of my house. i’ll stop studying things and do something! i’ll not complicate my life but make it simple.

Have fun and HAVE SEX!! 🙂 (if you’ll get cancer because of your unhealthy food, they’ll find a treatment in 10 years, don’t worry. check out ray kurzweil on youtube 😉 )
