I’ve actually seen this recommended by a respected Japanese biologist on a TV show I watch. I’ve got no idea if there have been any clinical trials on this sort of treatment, but since faecal transplants work so well, it’d make sense. Unlike a normal enema, you’re not aiming to wash out the bowel, so you may be able to avoid the side-effects of such a practice. Still, unless you can find some reliable evidence, it’s all in your own … Well, it’s your decision.
