Hi guys, I have no idea where to start but I’ll just say that for as long as I can remember (though not since I was young) I have had red, hot burning hands and feet, super fatigue, headaches, and a few other problems (some, such as my TMJ disorder probably unrelated) and I’ve been to doctors upon doctors upon doctors and specialists and had countless tests (I’ve lost count of how many blood tests I’ve had) yet the only thing that has ever really shown up is a vitamin D deficiency which has long since been corrected with vitamin D tablets. Doctors have no idea what is wrong with me and I’ve just had enough. I’ve been reading a lot about candida and the symptoms really echo my own, however when I brought it up to a doctor he just looked at me as if I was stupid for researching such things and passed it off as some kind of unverified “alternative health fad”. But I’d really like to give the candida diet a go because I’m at the end of my rope here. Although, I don’t really know how to structure the whole diet process (never really been on a diet-diet before) so it would be wonderful if someone could help me out.
Thanks – Owen.June 22, 2012 at 7:35 am #85167

I have a candida overgrowth due to extensive amounts of antibiotics through out my years. I too have TMJ, i would say its related.
At the end of the day I see it as: The diet isnt the most difficult thing I’ve had to do in my life… Living with these hellish symptoms was the hardest thing. BE Optimistic. It will be your best friend through this long path of recoveryJune 22, 2012 at 8:37 am #85171

The only way to know for certain is to try out the candida diet, and if you experience “die off” symptoms, then this is likely candida dying flooding your body with toxins. Die-off symptoms are very similar to flu-like symptoms. The only other thing that I know of that can give you these symptoms is parasites.
