I just started the strict diet this week but I had kicked up my antifungals and probiotics about two weeks ago and for the last week and a half, boy has my elimination been disordered. I’m assuming this is par for the course in the early weeks of the protocol, but thought I’d double check. I have a normal bowel movement first thing in the morning but shortly thereafter, I have very liquid, very urgent diarrhea one to three times during the rest of the day. There’s not much pain or other distress associated with it, it’s just urgent and I have to think dehydrating. Should I be doing anything to try to tamp this down or just assume it is part of the cleansing process?
Thanks in advance (and apologies for such a graphic question. It cracks me up that I’m asking people on the internet about this when I would hesitate to discuss it with my husband even!)

I’m glad you posted this and I would appreciate if you let me add additional questions for experts:
How and when do I stop having diarrhea? I have been on the diet for 5 weeks now and, although I am taking the required supplements and eating only what is stated on the strict diet, my movements are liquid or break apart into tiny pieces. I chew my food well… I start my teaching job on Monday and would like to feel comfortable with my digestive abilities. Experts (who have had chronic diarrhea), how long should this last? Is it normal or unhealthy to allow diarrhea to last 7 weeks on this diet?
