I’ve had a yeast infection for 3 years now. At first the symptoms were itching, rash, redness, smell and everything
I then took antibiotics from a doctor who said they would work. All of the symptoms went away but then it shot up back again. The reason why I’ve had it for 3 years is mostly laziness, and the fact that the itching has pretty much subsided, the only real symptoms are the rash on the scrotum and penis, that occasionally itchiness, overall fatigue, anxiety, and I just feel like crap the whole time.
I am 19 years old and I’m currently attending college. So now my stress and sleeplessness has shot up.
I have been trying to cure this for almost over a month now with almost no luck. Here’s what I’m doing:
Avoiding sugar as much as possible.
Eating plain yogurt with honey
Putting garlic in every meal.
Drinking cranberry juice.
That’s pretty much it.
Also, I have a manual labor job, so basically, I am sweating all the time, and that area is soaked with sweat when I get home. Then I try to wash all my clothes and towels once a week.
I’m just wondering, how do I know if I have the intestinal yeast infection? If I have had this for 3 years, it’s most likely in my internal organs correct?
Another thing is the smell. It gets pretty damn bad.
So yeah, I think I’m basically screwed here. I don’t have the knowledge/time/money to go out on a full candida diet, I’m sweating constantly from my job, my stress has gone 10 fold because of school starting, I’m not getting much sleep.
Is it even possible to cure a yeast infection that has gone on for 3 years? How do I know if It’s in my organs or not?
It’s all just completely hopeless. I feel like I’ll have this for the rest of my life and the fear is really starting to settle in.September 2, 2013 at 4:43 am #109859

Hi Haakonson, im a fellow candida sufferer, although i have different symptoms to you. You mustn’t despair as you can get better if you follow the candida diet as laid-down in the e-book by Lisa. (I printed my copy off for ease of reference).
You mention anti-biotics were prescribed for you, well that will only have made your symptoms worse as they kill off all you good bacteria. With the candida diet YOU HAVE TO DO IT PROPERLY or not at all – just dabbling will not produce results. You need to cut out ALL SUGAR out of your diet – that includes honey and cranberry juice. Dont forget that starchy foods and gluten can also become sugar in the body, and caffeine can trigger your sugar stores in your body.
It’s hard to find the time and the energy to do this diet, but you will be glad you did, just try to follow it as closely as you can, its not expensive, you dont have to spend a heap of money of expensive supplements, eat garlic and coconut oil, they are great anti-fungal treatments.
I am on phase two of the diet, so still quite restricted to what foods i can eat, at the emoment its just chicken, fish, vegetables, salads, herbal teas (camomile, ginger) and soda water with fresh lemon squeezed in. Very dull, but i know it will be worth it in the end. Once your candida starts to die-off the smell and itching will gradually go, but it gets worse before it gets better.
Please read Lisa’s Book, it will help you understand why you have to do this diet, i started off with personal fungal infections like you have, then it went into my intestine and blood strem, and has caused all kinds of other symptoms, thats over a period of 40 years, i was diagnosed with candida only recently by a naturopath, not my GP as they dont recognise candida where i live!! Good luck, you can heal yourself :)))
