Kjones – how do you do dehydrated veggie chips? I bought a dehydrator but I’ve never even plugged it in.
well, I guess I should say I really don’t dehydrate, but I love cucumbers for my snacks. I love to have some type of crunch with my meals, and I was always a cracker freak. So, I have made a lot of homemade approved candida crackers, but I still want to get my veggies in.
Cucumbers go easy on my stomach. what I do, is cut them up, and let them sit overnight, so they can dry out. Then, I make sure to pat real well also to get water out. Toss with various herbs, whatever I feel like, garlic powder, onion, papikra, etc. I bake at 375 for an hour, and check a few times.
Really, it take some time and patience, and look it up on the internet for various temps, times, etc. I have tried doing zuchinni chips, too. It is def. an experiment. I am getting better and better and making things for myself. It was hard at first, but it has def. gotten easier and quicker for me, so now that is good b/c now it easier to stick to the diet more. =)
