Johns Hopkins Research Concerning the Risks of Colonics:

    http://www.johnshopkinshealthalerts.com/alerts/digestive_health/JohnsHopkinsHealthAlertsDigestiveDisorders_520-1.html

One of the major dangers which colonics impose is that a colonic isn’t choosy about what it washes out of the colon, it removes the beneficial bacteria in the colon just the same as it does parasites. The more often you have a colonic, the less flora you will have and the easier it will be for the Candida to multiply.

So we’re officially not advocating colonics anymore?

That makes me feel better, since they seem a tad extreme/risky to me. Unless you’ve tried everything else first.

Wondering who the we in ‘we’ are, I’ve never advocated colonics.

That’s fair enough 🙂 I haven’t read the board for very long so I don’t know what the various opinions on here are. But I have seen quite a few Candida Diet websites that still suggest colonics, so I got the impression that many people still advocate them as part of the ACD.
