Okay, this isn’t a recipe but if you are anything like me cooking 100% of meals all the time is exhausting I found two items that are nice food purchasing:

    #1 Kale chips – http://www.amazon.com/Case-Perfectly-Plain-Kale-Krunch/dp/B00AWTWHGE

    #2 Coconut Wraps – http://www.julianbakery.com/paleo-product/paleo-wraps/

    Hi GoingNatural,

The Kale Chips and Coconut wraps are delicious…thanks for posting those. Do you know of any brands that sell online or at the stores which are specifically targeted to people on the candida diet? I’m struggling to find quick and easy food options…

    Thanks
    E

Hmm, it seems the Kale Chips from that company contain Pumpkin Seeds as the second ingredient. =(

And what would be wrong with Pumpkins seeds?

They’re not on the diet that most of us discuss here on the forum. I believe they contain mold which benefits the candida.

Well, depends where you are on your treatment. But, I need to correct you on a couple points (with all due respect):

#1 – Not ALL pumpkin seeds (or seeds) contain mold.
#2 – Mold does NOT feed or benefit candida. Rather, we (candida sufferers) may experience hypersensitivity reactions to mold.

Ultimately, I encourage everyone of us to become our best personal food/health detectives. Find out whether or not a food, that is healthy, bothers you.

I found a new snack today! I found licorice candy that is 100% licorice 😀 http://www.amazon.com/ZOT-Organic-Licorice-Original-0-4-Ounce/dp/B001NZUJ2A

    It’s strong, but I love licorice 🙂

Also, if you can get your hands on this kraut, it is amazing: http://farmhouseculture.com/

Hello there brothers and sisters! 🙂

I have a question regarding this licorice candy.
Since I’ve heard licorice candy is good for treating some of my personal problems, I wanted to try it out, but then I’m afraid that it will fire up the candida since it contains sugar.

So is this candy that is 100% licorice that alexalgebra referred to in this topic really ok to eat? Especially since I’ve been 3+ months on the very strict candida diet (able and rasters one) and have been completely candida free since then 🙂

    Answers would be appreciated! 🙂

YES it is okay. Ask your self a question, if there are no starches, no sugars, how could it feed candida?

Plus, licorice aids in healing the gut: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/julie-chen-md/dgl-supplements_b_2976260.html

Thanks alex; I am going to have to try this. I love licorice, too. Licorice is good for you, too. I have supplemented with dgl for my indigestion, too, and, it helps. Very healing! =)
