Alcohol!

    Hi am almost a year into the diet etc and seeing lots of improvements but am a way off full recovery yet.

    My q tho! When can u have a teeny bit of alcohol? Just a tiny bit on a special occasion?

    And what kind is best to have? I heard some types of vodka are lowest in sugar, is that correct?

    Anyone have any experience of having a little tipple and did it set u back
    much/any?

    Plan a typical night of drinking 2-4 drinks of hard alcohol to set you back 1-2+ weeks from my experience. I drank after 2.5 years on the diet when I got married and I recently drank almost 2 years after that without any problems…

    I would look into alcohol kombucha (they make one with alcohol), or potato vodka or gin.

    Is potato vodka lower in sugar then?

    I’d only do one or two shots occasionally, just on special occasions.

    What about mixers? Like slimline tonic water? I guess they’re bad huh.
