So are you trying to say that you have constant food allergies? In other words, are you allergic to nearly everything you eat?
Do you notice the symptoms after you eat only and they don’t exist before eating a meal?
If so, I am unsure what to say about ‘severe’ leaky gut. I’ve mentioned how to heal it over and over again on the forum…but prebiotics, probiotics, FOS, inulin, and lowering the inflammation is how to heal it. Specific supplements heal it as well. I think I had a “medium” to “low” case of leaky gut because I only had severe candida symptoms for less than a year. If I had sever overgrowth for a longer period of time, I bet my intestines would’ve been shredded to pieces (I don’t mean to scare anyone with this statement but just making an observation).
If you only get an allergic reaction to certain foods in your diet such as greek yogurt, oat bran, eggs, etc…I would remove those specific food items and try again in time. Everyone has different food allergies and for me, they vary widely throughout my treatment. For instance, I once was very allergic to potatoes but now I am not. But if I ate them 5 days in a row…I’d probably get an allergic reaction. A few times earlier in my treatment I didn’t notice any reaction but other times I did. It changed as time went on.
And then there’s the whole “multiplier effect” that I’ve noticed with food reactions. If you eat a few food items that don’t even give you a reaction, but they somehow are “slightly” bad for the diet or leaky gut…they can build upon eachother and give you a reaction in unison.
Occasionally after eating the same meal I’ve been eating throughout my treatment, the teff bread will kick up a reaction even though its never been a problem by itself. I eat this bread twice a day and maybe 1-2x times per month I get a reaction to it because of this multiplier effect. This makes me think that foods leak from the gut and we don’t even know it. I usually get a food allergy reaction right then at that momemnt I eat and swallow, but the reaction to teff is delayed 10-15 minutes after my meal is done when I do get it. Sorta strange.
Either way, I’ve trooped on through these reactions ignoring how they make me feel and I’ve managed to heal the gut despite this. The more severe reactions I get, I decide toremove those items.
