Is it too early to have coconut milk and shredded coconut – a sort of normal bowl of breakfast food?
Since I am so low in energy and need to be outside all day working on my feet… Can I eat any beans or grains at all. Lima and Pinto seem to be the least in carbs? Any other ideas that give you energy?
Can I start a yogurt or the Kefir early so my tummy doesn’t gnaw at me all day? Not cow’s milk, but is anything else possible? Clearly this would not be as per the strict diet so I’m not holding my breath that you will say yes.
Hi Sue. I will tell you what I can based on Able’s strict diet and protocol:
I started small amounts of shredded coconut after a couple weeks. The coconut must NOT have sugar or other additives that can contribute to candida growth. If you are unsure about an ingredient do not introduce it.
No beans until you are symptom-free. I hope to start testing beans after about 6 months or when I have felt like the candida is gone for at least a a few weeks. You can introduce oat bran or rice bran or buckwheat or coconut flour. I added oat bran first, then rice bran after two more weeks. I will introduce coconut flour soon. I tried to introduce buckwheat a couple times and just decided to postpone that because buckwheat causes me to have diarrhea and other digestive issues. No other grains are acceptable for a while.
You can start kefir after 2 or 3 weeks on the diet. I started on my 3rd week. Test a small amount if are a couple weeks into the diet. Homemade kefir is best. What do you plan to use if you won’t use cow’s milk? You can use goat’s milk, coconut milk or try water kefir. I posted about kefir a couple weeks ago if you want more information. No yogurt for a while.
Ask Able900 for the strict diet and protocol list. That should answer your questions in more detail.
