I can only tell you my experience, this is in no means my advice to you :0)
Last month, after many trips to the Drs and many different contraceptive pills to control my endometriosis I decided I would try the Candida diet fully, including stopping my pill. I discussed it with my Dr and he said it was my choice to make.
Considering over the last 18 months I have suffered with severe pain on my left ovary and at least two and sometimes 4 periods a month, this obviously was seen as a risk by my Dr.
4 weeks into the diet, no pill, sticking to it as best as I can, I am starting to get my energy back, my period I have not had since my scheduled one, the endometriosis pain is far less, people are telling me my skin looks better and the bloated stomach and bad gas has nearly gone completley.
So as far as I am concerned, the pill has been messing my hormone levels about and probably has been for the last 20 years. Granted contraception is now an issue, this I will discuss when I see a specialist at Addenbrooks in July but I am looking forward to the conversation with him to prove I have been right for the last 6 months and the pill was bad for me.
