The two biggest symptoms of candida overgrowth in my opinion are rectal itching and oral thrush (aka white tongue).
As far as diagnosis, you should consider doing it properly, because it can be a long journey to recovery. I tell most forum members to plan on a 6-18 month recovery time to get over candida overgrowth. This is a serious illness and takes a strong mind to get over it. I’ve personally been on the diet for about 2 years and can easily manage my progress at this point.
There are certain things that contribute to candida overgrowth. One major one is prior antibiotic use. Other things can contribute to it such as heavy metals from mercury amalgam fillings, mold in your home, vaccines, etc.
