The supplement contains the following:
Corn dextrin: Corn is a starch and dextrin is basically a type of glucose (D- glucose units).
Lactofermented whey concentrate: Whey is basically the milk serum which is the liquid that remains after milk is curdled and strained.
These things are supposed to act as prebiotics for feeding the beneficial, but natural forms of food do the same thing. So does FOS and inulin which are often added to probiotics as well as some brands of Stevia.
The claim is that it stimulates the secretion of digestive enzymes, but Swedish bitters do the same thing and we know that they’re safe.
