Hey, again. Here’s the main page. Stage 1 explains all the “foods to eat” and “foods to avoid”. Some people on these boards follow it exactly as is, other (including myself) kind of combine information from several sources and use it to adjust the diet listed here. For instance, this website – thecandidadiet.com – suggest staying in Stage 1 for only two weeks. I just don’t think that’s nearly long enough. So, I take the basic info, mix it with info from elsewhere, and kind of tailor it for myself. I’m not working with a practitioner right now. I keep hearing all kinds of wacky (to me) things about what certain chiros or naturopaths advise their candida patients. I feel like, even if I went to one, I’d wind up doing my own version of the diet! 🙂
You can check out the link I gave you to see where you line up. Gluten grains like wheat and the peanut butter (high mold) are off limits here for Stage 1. Like I said, that’s technically only 2 weeks long, but I plan on staying away from the “Foods to Avoid” list for quite a while, personally.
Anyway, glad to have you here. Everyone’s very nice – no junk talk and discouraging words that I’ve seen so far. We’re all just trying to encourage one another and get better!!!
