If I eat carbs and sugar (desserts, cookies, etc.) and keep it up for a few weeks, I definitely will get a yeast infection. It doesn’t even have to be a whole lot, it just has to be consistent. My other symptom is psoriasis, and that definitely gets worse as well when I eat sugar and foods with gluten.
Now, I have noticed that if I cheat a little with gluten or sugar I will not get a yeast infection if I go back to eating healthily right away. This is the pattern I’ve noticed in myself for the past 20 years. I don’t care what studies are out there. There is DEFINITELY a pattern with my symptoms and the amount of sugar I eat.
