OK, so as a huge fan of The Candida Diet website, I see this:
BEANS Beans and other legumes
All soy products
The combination of being hard to digest and high in carbs rules out beans from the first stages of the diet. They can be reintroduced later on in small portions. Soy products are mostly forbidden, as the majority of soy is genetically modified. If you can find non-GMO tofu, it should be OK to eat. http://www.thecandidadiet.com/foodstoavoid.htm
So I eat cert organic,non-gmo soy without consequence ….until St Ives vegan pepperoni 🙂
I dont eat soy on any regular basis, and I am repulsed by meat so I dont like foods that mimic it.
I have had this in the past though, without consequence,for its spice content.
Its tastes kind of awesome BUT my throat swelled and I had a typical candida-inflammation reaction.
The reaction is not typical of other soy foods, just this one.
Just putting that out-there for other people testing the soy options.
