This diet can be very expensive and as a student I know it’s tough on a budget but definitely can be done!
I agree with Raster, trying to get your parents on board by showing them how important healthy food is. Also I would say it’s important to be proactive. How about offering to cook the family dinner? You can easily cook potatoes, rice, pasta etc. to go alongside your candida friendly meals. Make a healthy change appealing for them and try reinventing healthy versions of foods they like.
