You can get tested for h-pylori, though some tests may not pick up if you have it or not. A biopsy is a more reliable test. I was able to sucessfully heal an ulcer caused by h-pylori with mastic gum. As with many products, you might feel worse before feeling better. I started out with a low dose with 500mg 2x per day and after a few weeks started taking 1000mg 2x per day.
Along with that I took L-glutamine to help heal my ulcer, stomach and leaky gut. I also took DGL before meals to help with throat irritation and calm my stomach. I felt better almost right away, but others that I have communicated with took longer before they felt better and some felt worse before they felt better.
I also found out that candida yeast overgrowth and parasites also can go hand and hand with h-pylori and started treating that as well. I took the mastic gum and anti-fungal and anti-parasitic supplements separately from each other, because I didn’t know it they would counteract each other wit the mastic or not. Probably raster or able can tell you that.
Anyway, just throwing out an alternative treatment to using anti-biotics.
