Gums are similar to carrageenan. There’s an article about what guar gum does in high doses, but you’d be unlikely to suffer those effects from your baking. If you feel comfortable with it, you could test it and see if it interferes with your digestion or not. Some people report issues from coconut milk, which commonly has it as an additive, but others don’t.
