I used to eat almonds all the time without noticing any issues. Then I went grain free last year and started relying more and more on nuts. I started noticing symptoms when I ate almonds…feeling very tired, somewhat feverish feeling, and mood swings. So I cut them out for a while and recently tried to add them back without any luck. I had decided that I was just sensitive to them for whatever reason but when I saw them on that list it just made me wonder if it could have been die off. Wishful thinking I guess :p
If you read the text on the page you provided, almonds are on the list you mention for their prebiotic properties and helping you with hunger while on the diet.
