I agree, the guy at my nutritional store told me that Men tend to hold onto the iron they have and woman do not which is why it’s not in a mans mulch-vitamin. Over a year of supplementing it was one of the last things I tried. I think since the candida uses allot of the things we have my body was extremely low in it. It seems to be one of the only things aiding in hair regrowth and actually helps clear my thrush when I take it without other minerals. It’s tricky because my minerals are so low I think I don’t have much of a choice but to take them. I do allot of balancing though, I don’t take it on it’s own and only the FDA approved amount. While taking zinc and magnesium I gave myself very serious calcium issues which I saw from a blood test. I always take the FDA approved amount and try to eat as balanced as possible but I can’t live without my hair 🙁 . Still not sure if the magnesium was competing with other minerals or like you said possible causing a direct reaction but I break out in tinea when I take it sometimes that’s how bad it is. If I take it in a multi-mineral I seem to be fine.
