This happened to me when I took high doses of antifungals starting out thinking I could “nuke” the yeast and get better fast. I worked my way up to 30+ drops of oregano oil and grapefruit seed extract multiple times per day at one point but I wasn’t detoxing…I also had a strong infestation going so I should’ve taken things slow.
Yeah I’m really grateful I saw your posts that warned about the importance of detox which is why I plan to focus on detox before I begin the diet. I currently avoid foods that trigger a reaction, and most of my symptoms are on my skin like rashes/acne which you have said in posts is generally an indicator of poor liver/kidney health. I have minor proteinuria most likely from past steroid use, so it’s evident that my kidney health is not great. The current herbalist I’m seeing is trying to help me take medication that focuses on detoxing through the digestive system/strengthening it versus detoxing through skin.
I’m speculating I also have parasites as well from traveling especially, so I am thinking maybe I should do a parasite cleanse before I embark on Candida? Or if it’s possible to do both simultaneously. I’m a bit weary though of what I can try to tackle parasites, since I’m sensitive to a lot of herbs traditionally used for both Candida/Parasites like garlic and cloves probably.
