6 Sardines (either tinned in oil or fresh) Half a Rutabaga (swede) Fresh herbs (e.g. oregano) Salt and pepper
1) Thinly slice the desired amount of rutabaga 2) Fry the rutabaga in some olive oil and add the salt pepper and herbs for 5-10 mins, until the slices are brown on the edges. 3) Place the rutabaga slices in a dish and arrange the sardines with skin on, on the top of the slices (take bones out of the fish before hand).
