If I may interject a bit of information to go along with your vitamin D article, according to the “American Journal of Clinical Nutrition,” a study has shown that in order for vitamin D to be utilized properly, magnesium would have to also be present. So if you’re deficient in magnesium, then vitamin D absorption can’t take place. The study stated that a person who is obtaining sufficient amounts of vitamin D but deficient in magnesium can also become deficient in vitamin D even though it’s being taken as a supplement.
Another vitamin that should be taken at the same time as D is vitamin A since A and D also depend on each other for complete absorption. The best type is the natural form which comes in gel pill form and contains both A and D in one gel pill.
