Well basically my symptoms include constipation, diarrhea, bloating & abdominal cramping which results in nausea. I am underweight and have been all my life. IBS was diagnosed when I was 15 after I had a colonoscopy and other various tests which came up clear. About 5 years ago the IBS symptoms became progressively worse and it now effects my social life. I tried the fodmap diet, then the elimination diet, both with no positive results. This was about 4 years ago. I stumbled onto this candida diet about 2 years ago and thought what the hell I will give it a go. So I did and had fantastic results until the birth of my son 5 months ago. I have continued on the diet with hope it was hormonal or maybe my body had toxins from being pregnant or the meds I had during labour. I had a full blood test and it has shown neutropenia (low white cell count) which could be a gastrointestinal infection. I’m hoping that’s what it is, at least then I know how to treat it. Won’t know for sure until end of next week most likely due to public holidays.
I had a stool & urine test which both came back clear.
Can I have a hypersensitization test at my GP? Or is this a specialist?
Thanks for your reply!
I feel like a hypochondriac but I just want my life back.
