I take fermented cod liver oil which is different than regular cod liver oil. While Able’s comments about Vitamin A and D ratio’s cause some concern, how would you know if you were out of balance after taking one of these vitamins? How long would one be taking cod liver oil for their treatment and how does it take for imbalance between vitamin A and D to take place? What if there already is an imbalance to begin with and need more vitamins?
While I am not disagreeing completely with Able, I feel that such an imbalance could/would occur after prolonged and excessive use; and by taking a bad/cheap form of cod liver oil. Thousands/millions of people take it throughout the world and I have never heard of this happening (but this doesn’t mean it occurs). I feel that it has more benefit than consequences personally.
