I must agree with Sam on all the things he wrote. I’ve been going back and forth on the diet and didn’t really see progress until I stuck it out on the protocol. I did have fall outs with die-off and had set backs where emotions pick up but when that was dealt with overall I am so much better that it is worth it in the long run.
I would like to add also that I didn’t do well on the yoghurt. I tested it and felt fine, no reactions, but after eating it for about a week my symptoms started to come back (one of them rectal itching and burning) so I realized that I was not ready for it. I would cut it out for a week or two and see if there is any improvements in your symptoms. If yes then wait for several weeks to test it again.
I think half and half is a huge no-no for the treatment or otherwise so I would leave it out indefinitely.
Did you consider starting on a home made kefir? Most people are not sensitive to it, you make it at home, takes about 5 minutes to strain it and it’s ready to drink. If you make milk kefir this gives you so many important nutrients, probiotic and you get some protein out of it. You can also get some water kefir grains and this would offer great fermented drink as well as probiotic. Search the forum, there is a ton of posts to read about it.
Another thing you can try for more energy and weight maintenance is making one of the allowed breads. Search the recipes section. You can make a bread out of coconut, oat bran, buckwheat, teff, or rice bran flour or any combination of these allowed flours. The bread takes like 10 minutes to mix with a spoon.
Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!
