Apple’s are a great item to eat when you get over leaky gut. I was so bad off early on that I was highly allergic to all fruit and anything containg more than 8g if sugar. I would get the “leaky gut” reaction to apples. As my gut healed I became less and less allergic to apples, and now I eat them everyday. Save them for stage 2 and thats where the real progress will occur!
I would consider apples to be a cheat food item during stage 1 where you eat them once every few weeks or so.
