Store bought Kefir sometimes has sugar in.
I ‘ve been using raw goats milk and have my own kefir grains. I would suggest strongly that you make your own. There are bound to be people in the UK who have kefir grains they are willing to post you.
Store bought kefir does not have nearly the same amount of good probiotics in that natural kefir does. This is because the bottle would ferment so much that it would explode on the shelf. They take some probiotics out.
Natural kefir is also cheaper to make. You can just buy milk from the local supermarket and do your own. Takes about 24hrs to ferment a quart.
