I would consider trying it out for a short period of time, maybe a week or a few days or so. If you feel much worse then don’t continue.
According to Dr. Mcoombs, fruits do heal leaky gut and this is why he recommends them. They are a good source of vitamins.
You’ve been on the diet a long time and you should consider trying something else to see whether it makes an impact or not. I basically feel that some of them may not be that much worse than vegetables and so it could barely impact your infestation. For instance a salad might contain 20+ grams of sugar and so does a a bunch of berries. If you ate 2-3x more salad than normal one day as an example; you could get the same doseage of sugar as if you ate some berries instead.
