We don’t recommend exercise when starting out because it drains the body; you need to rebuild your immune system and not build your muscle mass.
If you “cheat” you never have to start over, you just have to continue on with the diet and supplements. For instance, for my lunch I ate salad with vinegar salad dressing the first 6 months of the diet and I still got better (this shouldn’t be consumed on diet). I couldn’t eat organic for lunch so 1 meal per day was not organic. Not a big deal. What is a big deal is eating a total cheat meal of hamburger/fries and a milkshake.
