As others who answered before me, I do much better on high fat. With higher fat I am able to go lower carb (we all know that this diet can vary). I had trouble sticking to strict diet and functioning without the fat so I kept reaching for allowed carbs (the second stage alternative grains like millet and buckwheat etc.). Now I can keep them at bare minimum as I don’t need them.

Our body needs something for energy and IMO fat replaces carbs very well and much more efficiently. I am talking about healthy fat: EVOO, coconut oil, fatty fish, animal fat (fatty cuts etc.)…
