The rice cakes type doesn’t matter too much (brown and wild rice are fine), but be sure to get the unsalted kind because the salt contains dextrose. However, all rice contains a natural amount of sugar and a natural amount of starch; if you do eat rice cakes, I would eat them as a desert like 1-2x per week at the most but wouldn’t eat them everyday like I did in the past. Its all about rotating your foods!
The almond butter wasn’t problematic for me later in my treatment, but when I had leaky gut really bad, I could not handle it whatsoever…so be careful, it will be a make or break item for you (and you will quickly find out). Able couldn’t handle it during his treatment and this is definitely something to be very careful about.
