Yes, I still experience food reactions to foods not allowed on the diet. Examples include vinegar, sugar, corn, potatoes, white rice, soy, etc. I only eat out during holidays, birthdays, etc.
There is a range of symptoms that I get. If the food is highly allergic, I typically just cough up some mucous and have the “leaky gut burn” that I’ve had throughout this time period. The burn is similar to hyperventilation; I get muscle spasms, headaches, etc. Way better than it used to be.
I am a smoker and have been for 12 years. I plan on quitting sometime in the future, I am unsure when that will be. If I get really frustrated with my progress, I may have to quit it so my gut can heal better. I know it causes inflammation and leaky gut, so it definitely is not good in any shape or form. I don’t get much of a reaction typically, it varies day to day smoke to smoke. Its a major factor in why I am not healing faster, but so is my sleeping medication.
