Exercise and the Candida Diet

Exercise is one part of the Candida treatment protocol that many people overlook. If your Candida symptoms are dragging you down, exercise is an essential part of your road to recovery. Use it as a complement to your routine of cleansing, diet and supplements, Not only will it help treat your Candida, but it will also give you a break from symptoms like fatigue and brain fog.

Exercise stimulates the lymphatic system, which is responsible for removing waste products from your cells. When it is functioning poorly, viruses, bacteria and fungi can accumulate in the system, creating a great breeding area for Candida. Moving your body increases circulation of the lymph fluid, eliminating these pests quickly before they become a problem.

Exercise also helps unclog the liver. When the liver is burdened, your body can’t eliminate Candida and its byproducts. Exercise activates eliminatory organ detoxification pathways, enabling efficient expulsion of dead yeast and other waste materials.

Last but not least, getting your body moving enhances your feelings of wellbeing and relieves stress. Why is stress important? Stress causes an increase in cortisol levels, raising blood sugars and feeding the Candida. So addressing the stress levels in your life will also promote a speedier recovery.

Try to get out in nature as much as possible. Get your body moving and get rid of that candida. Make exercising a part of your recovery, but also part of your future lifestyle. You can keep up your motivation by getting creative and trying different sports and exercises.

Start with a brisk 15 minute walk, then increase it to 30 minutes, then ultimately 1 hour 5-6 days a week. Don’t push yourself too hard though - over exertion can stress your adrenals and actually weaken your immune system. The key is to stay motivated, but also listen closely to your body. Combine cardiovascular exercise with some stress reducing exercises such a swimming (in the sea or a non-chlorinated pool), a beautiful walk or even some relaxing yoga.
