How To Follow The Candida Diet On A Budget

Dieting on a budget

Not everyone has the budget to buy high quality organic foods and invest in supplements to beat a Candida overgrowth. Luckily, that doesn’t mean that you have to keep suffering from your Candida Related Complex.

In reality, the most important element of any Candida treatment plan is your willpower, and that comes for free! And you can save money of the foods and supplements too. By making a few simple substitutions you can create a Candida diet that won’t break the bank, but can still have a wonderful impact on your health.

If you’d like to save some money without compromising your Candida treatment plan, follow these four tips to cut your spending right down. Although you might need to follow your recovery plan a little longer, it’s perfectly possible to follow this diet without spending a lot of money.

Our Ultimate Candida Diet plan contains lots more money-saving tips, including cheap (or free) alternatives for each stage of the program.

#1 – Kefir And Yogurt Instead Of Commercial Probiotics

Kefir and yogurt are powerful fermented foods that will help to repopulate your gut with good bacteria. You can buy them in your local store (make sure to get the plain, unsweetened varieties) or save even more money by making them at home. Follow these links for instructions on making your own kefir and making your own yogurt at home. Also note that by fermenting your kefir or yogurt for longer, you can reduce the sugar content to even lower levels than the brands that you see in the store.

#2 – Use Natural Antifungals

Your antifungals are one area where you can really save a lot of money. There are lots of expensive antifungal brands that offer combinations of different herbs, but you can buy similar ingredients for very little money in your health food store. Antifungals like coconut oilgarlic extract and grapefruit seed extract are widely available and will not cost a fortune.

#3 – Buy Your Produce From Local Markets

We recommend to buy organic where you can, but buying fresh produce from local markets is the next best thing. The advantage is that the food has spent less time in transit and has likely retained much more of its nutritional value.

Another advantage is that market produce tends to be great value, because you are not paying for the superfluous packaging, rents, and marketing costs that the large supermarkets factor into their pricing.

Better yet, if you have any interest in gardening, there are plenty of ways to grow your own food at home. This is true whether you have an enormous garden or a small balcony.

#4 – Use Alternative Detox Methods

Avoiding Candida Die-Off is one of the best ways to ensure that you stick to the treatment plan, so we usually recommend taking a liver-supportive supplement like molybdenum or milk thistle during your cleanse. These supplements help your body to process the toxins released by the Candida yeast (particularly acetaldehyde), and avoid the nasty symptoms that can come with Die-Off.

By using some alternative detox methods you may be able to achieve a similar result. By using a combination of techniques like saunacontrast showersskin brushingoil pulling and simple exercise, you can give your body all the help it needs to get those toxins out of your system.

    Hi,
If I make my own sugar free apple sauce from green apples can I use this in my baking recipes instead of stevia or the other sugar. I do not enjoy their taste.

Making your own kefir a great way to save money. I found a local farmer to sell me milk so it is not homogenized or ultra pasteurized. You can also make a spreadable cheese from it. I am from Wisconsin and love my cheese so I was so excited to find these recipes. This company also sells kefir grains.
