Thanks for the reply Hope. Its good to know i´m heading in the right direction. Today has gradually got worse symptoms wise, as well as the jitters and feeling really tired as the day has gone on i´ve had really bad nausea and everywhere really aches and this evening the bloatedness is back – I thought I was doing so well 🙁 I have remembered though that yesterday I fell of the wagon so to speak, I had a seafood salad that had a lot of mayonnaise in it – could this have anything to do with the symptoms. I have cut out everything that has mayonnaise in it and have not had any dairy since I started the diet. Regarding your advice about drinking water, I do drink gallons of the stuff, I´ve never had so much water in my life as what I do now. Reading some of the posts on here I´m thinking that I will have good days and bad days, hopeefully more good ones than bad ones so I hope you don´t mind if I come on here to have a good moan when I do have a bad day 🙂 It´s so good to be able to come on here and get advice from all you, thank you.
WOW Able, you seem to know so much it´s such a lot to take in. Ít´s been a couple of weeks now since I started stage 1 of the diet and I feel that the bloating, gas, indigestion symptoms seem to be a lot better thankfully. What I am now feeling though is jittery – it´s a bit difficult to explain really other than I feel as if all of the inside of my body is on edge if you know what I mean. Has anyone else had this – is this another die off symptom or what? It´s been so long I think I´ve forgotten what feeling normal is like but yesterday seemed to be a good day for me, I did not feel too bad at all apart from this jittery feeling. Today, I just feel really tired – along with the jitters as I´m calling it. I think I just need some re-assurance that i´m still on the right track.
Many thanks for your NLFM. I will certainly take a look at your blog, I would love some recipe ideas. I have not had any cravings really so I guess i´m lucky. The thing that worries me most is how I can be feeling ok then all of a sudden I feel terrible. I´m having difficulty coping with the aches I get in my arms and the backs of my hands. For example this morning it was not so bad and I thought great, it´s going away but this evening it´s back again. I then start to worry about it and I think I´m probably stressing too much, it just feels so horrible that I really start to worry about it. Another symptom I get is feeling jittery all over my body, it´s really weird, I just want it to go away. I have noticed I seem to be getting more symptoms during the evening for some reason, not sure what thats all about. I feel that I am doing ok on the diet so far, I am just eating salads, fish, chicken and vegetables. I went out to lunch on Sunday and I had pasta in a tomato sauce as a starter but i´m not sure if I should have had that or not then had grilled fish with salad – I did not eat the ice cream dessert, I passed that on to my husband. I have been thinking of doing a Liver Cleanse but am wary of doing it. A friend of mine has done it 3 times and her mother 4 times and she said she feels so much better after doing it so trying to pluck up courage to do it. I still cannot get my head around the fact that something like this can cause so many symptoms. Thank you as well Katy and Veg2 for your replies, I feel I need all of the help I can get with this. I have to see my consultant in August re my gall bladder problem and take the results of my Food Intollerance Test to show him, it will be interesting to see what he has to say as he already thinks that the problems I have could be food related but the test only showed up an allergy to Rye Grass. Hopefully if the problem is Candida then by the time I see him I will be feeling better than what I do now.
Katy Gillett wrote: Sure sounds like you have candida Maggie!! All those symptoms are part of it and if you’ve been to the doctors numerous times and come back with nothing it is definitely worth trying out the diet. You get used to it after the first few days and you really start to appreciate foods you’d forgotten about or never tried before. Also, it’s a super healthy diet anyone so it’s certainly not going to do you any harm. Try out the herbal anti fungals and probiotics too and see what happens I say!
This is what I’m doing anyway. I’ve had all your symptoms and some others too and doctors couldn’t tell me anything. This has been going on for about 6 years so I was mighty frustrated. I don’t have access to a skilled nutritionist (I’m in Bahrain) who has good knowledge about this stuff so I’m doing it myself… and who knows whether its the healthy eating or what, but I am feeling better!!
So I would recommend you definitely try it out. And keep checking this forum because it is veerryyy helpful!!
Thank you so much for your reply Katy, it´s good to know there is someone out there who can offer advice because as I guess you know yourself, you feel really alone with this and it does worry you. I am a bit surprised at only getting one reply though – perhaps I was expecting too much. I will take your advice on board and stick to the diet and see what happens. I have never heard of herbal anti fungals so it´s searching the net to find out more about those and like you, I do not know of a skilled nutritionist so it looks like searching for that as well. Thanks you.
