I believe the die-off toxins have caused me to suddenly become very depressed, even suicidal, but only (thankfully) for a few hours. Like klips32, it was when I was on the strict diet and killing the candida. Interestingly I just got an inversion table and the first time I used it I had the same terrible depression hit. I still think it’s toxins causing it and going upside down moved some toxins out of my lymph nodes.
I am taking B5 and C everyday for my adrenals. I’m on thyroid meds and have had it checked just a month ago and the doctor says the thyroid is great. Now I’m wondering tho… The skin on my arms is turning like leather from all the welts. Maybe it’s a new allergy? I put globs of moisturizer on twice a day.
Thanks TheXtremisT, I didn’t know you got dry skin from adrenal problems. Maybe that’s it, It’s crazy bumpy and itchy and I’ve had it maybe 3 weeks now.
I am taking all the adrenal support supplements I can find and drinking licorice tea. I’ll get nettle tea too. I add ginger to my green smoothies.
As for gentle exercise that’s a hard one for me. Mostly coz I was an athlete before this hit and when I feel good I go and swim hard…..I just can’t help myself. As soon as I feel halfway human I do too much. I was a triathlete and I can’t wait to run again. I had a dream just this morning about starting to run around the house LOL but when I go for a 1/2 hr walk I get exhausted. (I can swim for an hour, but not walk…go figure – no gravity I guess) What do you do for exercise?
I got tinnitus after being on the candida diet as well. It goes away when I feel better, comes back when I’m tired or have exerted too much (Like lifting weights or swimming really hard)It will stay for weeks after it comes.
My theory is that it’s caused by adrenal fatigue. Your adrenals control your electrolytes and electrolytes are involved in tinnitus. What I have come to believe is that my weak adrenals caused the candida and after a year and a half of being on the candida diet and generally getting worse not better, I have stopped and am only focusing on my adrenals. The really strict diet and the stress that comes with staying on it is really hard on the adrenals. So my adrenals got worse on the diet and that started the tinnitus. All this is just my personal experience and opinion of course.
Adrenal fatigue, in my estimation, can be a cause of Candida and you can’t beat the Candida if you have Adrenal Fatigue. If you are tired a lot without explanation for it then go have an adrenal saliva test. It’s pretty accurate. Even being off a little can cause a lot of fatigue I find
What the others said about not focusing on it is true for every aliment. The more you focus the worse it gets.July 16, 2013 at 12:56 pm in reply to: Problem: Adrenal/Thyroid, Blood Sugar or Inflammation – which one? #107705
That sounds difficult. I don’t have the rush you described but I an dealing with adrenal issues now as well.
I had been faithfully doing this diet for well over a year and, like you, didn’t see good progress. Now I’ve come to the conclusion that you can’t fight the candida without healthy adrenals and mine are not healthy. So I’ve very slowly switched to an adrenal diet and include lots of rest and adrenal support. I’m feeling better and I believe once my other systems are working better they will help eliminate the candida. Just wish I’d realized this 2 years ago!
Which brings me to the vitamix question. I’m wondering if it would be worth the $$$ Maybe if would help me!
I know about the eating to help your body feel good part… Not to whine, but I have to cook dinner for a family of 5 every single day. I don’t make them eat my diet and I’m full time self employed leaving not a lot of extra time for special meals for myself too, so I usually grab a quick salad with protein and try to sit down before they are done and gone from the table….. it’s just wearing on me. I used to try and incorporate nice curry dishes etc. but I guess I’m just burnt out at the moment.
The coconut flakes are great. I have eaten a ton of coconut any which way. I also have found that I tolerate millet better than most grains. Just need to keep it at no more than 1/4 cup. I don’t think it’s a prebiotic, but others here would know. I haven’t used flaxseed myself coz it was never mentioned as a good option to me.May 30, 2013 at 12:17 pm in reply to: How do I heal leaky gut if I am allergic to everything? #105367
emz333, have you tired hemp protein? It’s about the only thing I could eat for protein for a while. It’s still something I turn to.
This is an amazing forum and I am so thankful for it.
I was going to post something just like Cheesey’s just now.
I’ve been on the diet and very strict, for a year (with the exception of some slips around Christmas) and my family and friends tell me I’m worse that when I started – and I am.
Sometimes I want to just die. But that’s my minds easy way out I think. I feel imprisoned in that I can’t go back to being the way I was before (like eating a sweetpotato) without feeling crappy – but yet I’m slowly getting worse.
I have leaky gut and shouldn’t eat half of the few things I’m “allowed” to eat. I do anyway coz I have to live…but this puts strain on my already depleted adrenals. My fatigue is worse than it was a year ago, much worse. I was an athlete- that was my joy, now I’m a couch potato.
So, similar to Cheesey, I am thinking I need to focus, not on the Candida but on my adrenals. I need to do what some of you are doing, meditate, relax, have fun…..if I could only figure out how….LOL
But I did want to share this one thing I hope to actually do. It is an Eastern way to recuperate. Go to bed and stay there for a week. No TV, No phone, No computer, just a few good books. Have someone feed you healthy food. Have a massage therapist come 2 times during the week. Don’t do ANYTHING but eat and sleep (and read so you don’t loose your mind). I’m trying to figure out when and how I’m going to do this.April 25, 2013 at 4:14 pm in reply to: Heavy Metal detox symptoms – fibromyalgia? tinnitus? RLS??? #103513
I also had an intial violent reaction (and ended up in the hospital) to Ultra Clear which indicated to me that I have very bad heavy metals, so I’m thinking I’m pretty toxic.
When you say “real” chelators, what have you used? I’m worried that I’ll do serious harm to myself given the way I react to these “not so real” chelators.
I’m an artist and have had oil paints with all their metals on my hands for 40 years.
I have no advice, just sympathy. I have a similar hard choice coming up. I hope you can figure out how to make the trip.
Also oat bran, which is good because it’s a prebiotic.
I found that millet works well for me. And it’s not bad tasting!
Jereseib, Did you feel better after doing them?
