I have a stool test tomorrow so I stopped my antifungals, enzymes and probiotics for 3 days. However I’m using mediclear by Thorne which has minimal enzymes. It’s been making have good bowel movements like 6 times a day so I must literally have a ton if crap In me. Anyway I’m so drained today and my stomach feels full, very fatigued but I also got only 6 hours of sleep which I only get 7 before work anyway. Is there such thing as antifungal withdrawal or anything? Or it can just be my damn adrenals overworked. I worked 12 hours yesterday came home and did schoolwork till midnight. Thanks

Going off of the antifungals shouldn’t cause gas or fatigue. I don’t know what’s causing your symptoms right now, possibly a combination of the extra work, less sleep, and adrenals. But, Mooch, did you know that MediClear contains caffeine and “Pure Cane Molasses”?

I am sensitive to coffee but idk about caffeine. Man idk what to do because this stuff is making me have good bowel movements. I trust yet another dr who does know candida. I’m starting up on my antifungals after my test slowly and probiotics again. How bad can the caffeine be for me?

She said she doesn’t wanna treat me for candida until my stool test shows it. She is focusing on my digestion and leaky gut first. However idk if the test is 100%

Well, Mooch, I wouldn’t worry as much about what is probably a relatively small amount of caffeine as I would the molasses. Pure cane molasses is literally made from pure cane sugar. And this is probably what’s causing the six BM’s a day because I don’t see anything else in the ingredients that could do this, and molasses is known for producing BM’s in humans. This tells me that it’s probably no small amount in the supplement since it’s working as well as it is.

Is constipation normally one of your problems?

Thanks man. Well before 8 months ago I was going three times a day. When I got sick and started the diet I went only once a day. So it is a relief to have BM that look healthy. So im torn man, don’t know what to do with it.

I don’t think this is a problem related to antifungals but likely lifestyle. If you are draining your adrenals with caffeine, this could explain for it as well.

I would consider not using this product anymore or finding an alternative.

I just got home and saw that I have mediclear plus. I don’t see any caffeine or warnings about caffeine and no Pure cane molasses in the ingredients. Does this sound alright?

This appears to be much better than the regular form, Mooch.

I do see that it contains ingredients derived from soy, but if it hasn’t caused your Candida symptoms to worsen, who’s to say that it isn’t just a small amount which won’t bother you.

thanks able. I was worried about the sugar and very relieved about how I am taking mediclear plus. I was sure to address it to you so I know if its ok to take. I read good reviews about it being a detox so maybe just a few weeks of it. I just can’t wait to take my bitters, hcl, fungals and probiotics after my stool test. Its hard for me to understand about the test since I have so many different symptoms of candida. Maybe Nystatin might be good since it stays in my gut.? But I gotta keep it day by day

A lot of people have had good success with Nystatin, Mooch. Maybe you could ask your doctor about using it after she has the results of your test. At that time hopefully she’ll be able to give you a clearer idea of where you stand with the infestation.
