Because they do not want you to get rid of this. You know 9 out of 10 people have it . I mean WE ALL HAVE IT its just now the generations are worse because canidida has to be in you it breaks down proteins in the gut. However, it is fed by the sugar and yeasts in our food. Think about it you have a healthy tummy you have a healthy immune system. O no then you do not need drugs. The FDA food and health know what there doing. I cured my overbalance which was passed down from birth. I share my story here have had this since birth. I had my tonsils out when I was a child because they would not let go of bacteria. They did not think about my stomach flora being off balance. My mother passed down the overbalance in gram negative bacteria candida. My grandma, probally to her. She was an alcholic who drank alot which promotes yeast growth in the stomach. Our parents transmit what they have or do not(as in good bacteria in stomach). The stomach is key to good immune system and must be balanced. As an adult I even GREW yeast on my skin. What is in the stomach comes out on the skin. My candida manifested itself in the form of tinea vesicolor. Patches on my skin that were fungal(yeast). I started to become aware of the way I felt when I ate sugar. I linked the candida to everything I suffered as a child even my supposive ADHD! See when I ate sugar the yeast would release gases and make me spazzzy. I could not concentrate had all the syptoms of ADHD. Well my yeast on my skin was the key. I would eat something and watch my skin. When I would eat suagr any form it woulf get red and raise and grow, as well as I would be up all day and night. I then started to develope allergys to wheat, from the overload of yeast in my system, it made me sensative to alot of stuff.Id get hard bumps on my scalp when Id eat sugar. My ear wax smelled like yeast. Id get yeast infections like crazy. The worst though was how it was spreading all over my BODY! It itched and you could see it,I felt like a growing plague. I tried EVERYTHING those stupid clenses, the diet, coconut oil, garlic, cinnamon nothing worked…and then I got some kefir grains. See kefir grains are probiotics they EAT the candida. They conteract the imbalance in flora in our stomachs. The imbalance fueled by sugar and yeast. EVERYTHING HAS SUGAR and YEAST in it. Okay so like when we eat bread its alive it has yeast, it dont die it mulptiplys like BEBE’s kids. Same thing with the kefir BUT its the good guys so to speak. Its not like yogurt its millions of live strands of probiotics and literally they EAT the candida!!!! I started to notice relief right away. I obtained grains from the kefirlady. You can get some from me to if you like. I also did the diet when I first started absolutly NO SUGAR not even fruit. Not untill I was rebalanced and even then I rairly eat it and its usually fruit form. I also took 5 tablespoons of coconut oil a day. Please dont do what I did and just start out on 5. The die off period was intese and I vomited the first day. Work your way up to that. I also did a garlic clove in the morning and one at night. This will assist in fighting off gram negative bacterias and yeast but leave the postive guys intact(mom nature taking care of us) then I would have kefir milk in the morning and kefir milk in the night. NOT THE CRAP FROM THE STORE. It is sugar and the live starins cannot survive the processing. Im talking the real deal like the grains from tibet. You have to love them and take care of them for they are a LIVING being! I can help you with that as well. I also make everythign with the kefir. Sourkraut, kefir sourdough bread(ITS PROBIOTIC BREAD HEHE)cheese(its probiotic cheese not processed invasive YEAST cheese from store). I make kefir pesto white sauce flaxseed pizza, today i made a kefir alfredo sauce.I have almost NO YEAST on my skin now and I am serine and my head feels so differant, I used to be a spazz. I NEVER get sick now NEVER. I also obtained a kumbucha scoby from the kefir lady and have more probiotics that way.I have several ppl who I have also treated with this method. You can email me directly for I will not be on this forum often. I just had to let people know rebalance the inside get the good put back into you and it never goes away persay cause you need those guys to but the overbalnce is rebalanced!!! [email protected]

I have been very frustrated with doctors. I went to 7 doctor regarding my symptoms including going overseas. All have different approaches with different results. But they all have in common, none has recommended a candida diet. from my experience there are several reason why doctors are useless regarding candida:
    1. Not well informed. In medical school they were though that Candida are only linked to HIV. once my HIV test negative they ruled out Candida immediately
    2. No 100% accurate test exists for Candida. Since candida occur naturally in our bodies it is difficult to know that it has been on overgrowth. I had feces, blood, skin test. Some show positive but many doctors thinks it is unclear about it becoming overgrowth
    3. Somehow it contradicted with their profession. most candida sufferer are actually victim of antibiotics. the more people informed about gut treatment the less they need and want medicine or doctors. many disease can actually very easily cure with diet
    4. Ego play a little role. they don’t take Candida seriously and when I asked about diet they refer me to nutritionist instead
    5. In most countries doctor get additional income from drug companies. doctors too have bills to pay. healthy diet will not help pay those bills

My sister had surgery 10yrs ago for a massive cysts on her ovary. Once they got inside to remove the mass they ended up having to remove every single organ in her abdominal cavity because she had massive yeast and all of her organs had adhered to each other. A simple surgery turned into a 14hr long surgery. Knowing what I know now about candida I’m furious that they didn’t explain to her that she had a candida overgrowth and need to go on a strict candida diet. Instead she thought that everything was taken care of in the surgery and continued life as usual. Ultimately she developed diabetes, she has had multiple strokes, she’s exhausted all the time and 3 yrs ago she had a massive heart attack and had emergency quad bypass surgery. I can’t say that these wouldn’t have happended had she been told to go on a strict diet, but I have to question! She’s only recently learned about the severity of the candida.

So while you, Floggi, may want to believe that Drs are well educated and therefore they know far more than most of us patients, I’d have to strongly disagree. Not to mention the fact that I have 6 family members who are either MD’s or RN’s and I have to tell you that they might know more about their specialty but I know just as much if not more than some of them do. A degree doesn’t guarantee knowledge! I can honestly tell you that I saw 1 of them having her husband take her tests that she had to submit online to her professors. I’m sure she’s not the only one that’s done this. I also have to laugh at the medical group forum that I belong to, the professor puts real cases for them to give their assesments, diagnosis, and treatment on. If there’s so much education happening how is it that you can have 200 people respond and only 20% get the right answer? Life isn’t in textbooks and it’s my understanding that the majority of information that is taught in med school is based upon the professors beliefs, if they never thinks outside the box then they’re not going to educate new MDs to think outside it either.

Personally, I have spent 14yrs and close to $2mil (my $ and insurance $) trying to find out what was causing my auto-immune issues. I’ve seen close to 30 Drs everything from Neurologist at a top university hospital, to Gastro, Ortho, Reumotid, Cardiologists, allergist, specialists in Celiac, Nutrionists and Naturopaths as well as general MDs. I’ve had surgeries that I “Might” not have had to have if I’d known what was happening inside my body as I’d have happily changed my diet. I’ve already been gluten free for 11yrs – btw, I only got diagnosed with this after 3yrs of symptoms by reading an article and calling my group of Drs and asking if I could have the tests done. Making additional modifications to my diet is not something that I would have been opposed to IF ONLY 1 Dr would have EVER suggested that there was even something called Candida to think about I’d have listened. I have seen MD’s who were in their 70s as well as ones that were barely out of medical school. I’ve seen ones that have graduated from some of the top colleges as well as board certified at top hospitals and they all have said we’ll you don’t have XYorZ, but I can’t tell you what you do have, but here take this RX and see if it helps. Luckily for me I’m stubborn and I don’t take medications with serious side effects when we have no idea if there’s a reason for them or not.

It wasn’t until a couple of months ago that a friend happened to mention that years ago he’d had a yeast overgrowth and that it had caused him a lot of terrible symptoms I might not have ever came to the point that I’m at today. Because of him mentioning it, I came home and started my research. I called a friend of mine who’s an herbalist in another part of the country and she directed me to additional information and a cleanse that I could do.

Imagine how happy, surprised, and actually angry I was when just a few days into the cleanse my symptoms that I’ve had every minute of every day for 14yrs started to go away! I will be sending a letter to each and every one of the Drs that I have seen over the past 14yrs and letting them know my diagnosis in hopes that they’ll read it and take it seriously and maybe think twice on the next patient.

So please, don’t think for that as a patient you don’t have to be your biggest advocate and sometimes have to take matters into your own hands in order to help yourself get well.

Well, I can chime in here, since I’ve just moved from the US to Amsterdam. I had seen 20+ doctors in the US prior to my moving over here. Not one of them has diagnosed or even tested me for Candida, I self diagnosed right before my move.

I was excited to see a doctor in Amsterdam, and curious to see what he would say about my Candida.

I received his reply in an email: “Indeed this is something regular MD’s does not do much with. The diagnose is alternative and should be treated in an alternative way. I cannot really help you with this unfortunately. There are no regulare medicine for this. You can stop eating sugar as far as I know this is the advise with candida overgrow. Have you heared about this too? “

However, he did explain that it’s illegal for doctors to take anything from a pharmaceutical company here. I don’t think people who’ve never been in the US health system understand how many unnecessary prescriptions are being written there.

Do you pay for your doctor true taxes in Amsterdam/holland?
In Denmark we do, I’m so happy I did not have to spend a thing to see the doctors here.

However, what you, Winaker, describe is the very same story of mine, although it’s been going on all my life (i’m 25), worsen over time. I’ve been all over the place – and nobody seems to want to help or has the education to do it.
