    Hi again,

I’m a little confused as to when, if ever it is ok to eat chickpeas?

Also chickpea flour more commonly known as besan or gram flour would be great as it make a fantastic batter for things like onion, veg or chicken pakora, Onion Bhajis and onion rings? Also makes a very nice flat bread for mopping up curry!

If it is allowed I have some great recipes that I can post!

    Many thanks

    Richard

I’m pretty sure chickpeas, like all beans, contain oestrogen, which feeds yeast. Until the candida has been completely banished I wouldn’t think about reintroducing legumes. I’m not a professional but it’s what I have read.

I believe that chickpeas/garbanzo beans are a stage 2 test item. That’ll probably mean after 6-9 months of being on the strict diet.

    Thanks for the help.

Gutted, I was really looking forward to all things chickpeas, hummus and gram flour.

    Oh well!
