Hi all, after 6 months of digestive issues I went to see a Food Allergy tester who told me I had Candida. Ive been on the diet for a few weeks and now getting major die off symptoms (awful!) but I wanted to see what others have used and what works for them (there are probably alot of posts about it).
the allergy lady told me to take:
– a good probiotic
– mycrophrl (anti fungus)
– glutamine; and
– a good multi vitamin.
Im also taking extra:
– Odourless Garlic x2 per day
– a tea spoon full of extra virgin coconut oil before each meal
– manuka honey (a small amount in my tea)

Yes you are correct and the diet alone won’t bring a cure; you need the basics which includes probiotics, antifungals, and vitamins/minerals.
We don’t recommend multi-vitamins because they often do not give you 100% DV of all of the nutrients you need in the day and this can cause a deficiency in one or more vitamins or minerals.
Here’s a post about some important vitamins to get and doseage:
I would get the following vitamins:
A&D (or substitute for fermented or regular cod liver oil), vitamin C (with bioflavanoids), vitamin E, vitamin K, and biotin.
Fermented cod liver oil is great because it has prebiotic properties and is the only cod liver oil that has natural ratios of vitamin A&D. It is also anti-inflammatory which is crucial for healing the gut. You need to reduce the inflammation of the gut in order to heal leaky gut…

In a month or two I would move to SF722 undecenoic acid by thorne as your main long term antifungal and continue with the garlic and another antifungal such as black walnut extract.

Its also very important to get some trace minerals such as calcium, magnesium, zinc, iodine, and selenium. This can also promote better digestion…
I’d cut the honey out because it has sugar…
There’s tons of other stuff to get depending on whether you have leaky gut, constipation, gas, etc.
